New Enhancements Coming Soon!
At First Southern Bank, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to improve the level of service we provide our customers. That’s why we are happy to announce some exciting new enhancements to the technology we use to provide banking services. The new technology we’ll be implementing will allow us to make your banking experience even better!
We will begin to use our new and improved technology at the start of business on Friday, April 17, 2020. The information provided in this document is of primary importance to our customers. You will find details about the changes we are making, as well as action items and notifications you’ll need to act on to continue enjoying uninterrupted service.

We anticipate a smooth transition that will provide very little disruption to you. Please be sure to review each of the following sections for an in-depth description of how these services will be changing and what you need to do to prepare.

ATM / Debit Cards
Balance inquiries will be unavailable Wednesday, April 15, through Saturday, April 18, however, purchases and withdrawals will not be impacted.
With our upgrade, First Southern Bank will introduce a service to instantly issue new debit cards at each of our full-service banking locations. This is an exciting new convenience for our customers opening new accounts and those that have lost their card.

Online/ Mobile Banking
We are excited about the enhanced user experience and ease of navigation which will be available with our new Online Banking and Mobile Banking applications.
On Thursday, April 16, at 4.00 p.m. CST online banking will go into inquiry mode only. Mobile banking will not be available after 4:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, April 16.
On Monday, April 20, you will be able to sign into online banking via our website or downloading our new app. You will login using your existing login ID as this will not change. You will then be prompted to enter a password. This will be a temporary password that will be a combination of your existing user ID plus the last for of your SSN or last four of your EIN if you are a business user. For example, if your login name is JDOE and the last four of your SSN are 1234, then your new password is JDOE1234. You will then be prompted to select a new password followed by selecting three new security questions and answers.

Bill Pay
Bill Pay will not be available beginning Thursday, April 16, at 4 p.m. through Monday, April 20. Please ensure that all bills that are due by Monday, April 20 are scheduled to pay by Thursday, April 16. All Bill Pay information, including vendors and scheduled payments, will convert with the exception of e-bill notices. These will need to be setup after Monday, April 20.

Statements
All deposit accounts will receive a paper statement as of April 16. Going forward, we will only have two statement cycles, the 15th and the last day of the month.

     Interest-bearing accounts will receive interest effective April 16 and again at the next statement cycle.

     ACH payments that are pending (i.e. house payment, car payment, payroll, etc.) will post Thursday, April 16 which could be prior to the effective date in certain cases.
