Since the launch of the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (SBA PPP), First Southern Bank stood with you every step of the way to answer your questions and provide needed assistance during the application process. We remain committed to provide you with the tools necessary to guide you through the next step of seeking loan forgiveness.

As you may know, the SBA requires a PPP Loan Forgiveness Application be completed, along with supporting payroll worksheets and documentation for the use of PPP funds. While the forgiveness process may seem daunting at first glance, First Southern Bank has gone the extra mile to provide you with a secure forgiveness application that will walk you through the necessary steps. The application will not only calculate the level of forgiveness for you, but also includes a required worksheet template and a list of supporting documents that must accompany the application and can be uploaded securely. The entire process can be completed online via our secure portal.

Once you complete the secure application and upload the necessary supporting documents, we will review the file and may reach out to you should any additional information be needed. The SBA allows 60 days for the bank to review the information and determine if the loan qualifies to be partially or entirely forgiven. However, we will process forgiveness applications as quickly as possible and notify both you and the SBA as soon as the forgiveness determination is made. The SBA will then have 90 days to notify the bank of the final forgiveness determination, at which time we will communicate that information to you.
